20 years ago, Eid Committee of NJ was established with the singular vision of “Bringing Communities Together”.

Year 2004:
Eid Committee of NJ organized the very first congregational Eid prayer bringing various north Jersey mosques under one umbrella. Eid committee of NJ blossomed over the next several years by organizing Eid prayers, grand Iftars, bringing people from various faiths together showcasing the spirit of Islam - Peace and kindness.
“United We Pray, United We Stay! “
In 2019, Eid Committee of NJ raised the bar even higher by organizing the largest ever Eid Prayer gathering in North America at the MetLife Stadium. 50,000 plus Muslims from across the tri state and beyond offered prayers together.
A community recovering from the pandemic:
In 2022, to lift the spirits of the community hard hit by the pandemic, Eid Committee of NJ bravely organized the first post-Covid Eid gathering once again at the MetLife stadium. The event was aptly titled “Eid and Breathe” with proceeds going to those affected by the pandemic in India.
Over the last two decades Eid Committee of NJ has been actively involved in organizing:

Worked towards the expansion of Darul Islah Community Center

Rolled out the cemetery project for the Muslim community.

And various interfaith events involving both the local community and community leaders.

Eid committee of NJ turned a new leaf in its golden book of achievements by welcoming the holy month of Ramadan with the “Crescent Lighting Events.” More than 25 New Jersey towns participated in this unique event and many more towns were inspired!
Eid committee of New Jersey continues in its quest of bringing the communities together. The various events organized by the Eid Committee have created a new generation of leaders, built interfaith bridges and made the Muslim youth proud of their identity!
